Formulas to calculate the coordinates Δ*x* and *y*_{o}
of the **intersection O**

of two curves *y* = f (*x*) and *y*_{c} = f (*x*),
given the ordinates of two (2) points per curve,
located near the intersection, with one
abscissa at *x*_{1}, to **the left of point O**, and
the other abscissa at
*x*_{2}, to **the right of point O**:

*y*_{1} = f (*x*_{1}); *y*_{2} = f (*x*_{2}); *y*_{c1} = f (*x*_{1}); and *y*_{c2} = f (*x*_{2})

The accuracy of the calculation increases with decreasing value of the interval
*x*_{2} - *x*_{1}.
